Dr. Supheakmungkol Sarin is Co-founder of AI Safety Asia, with two decades of experience in data and artificial intelligence. He has advised the United Nations, World Bank and national governments on AI strategy and inclusive innovation. Previously, he served as Head of Data and AI Ecosystems at the World Economic Forum, helping establish the AI Governance Alliance. He also convened the Forum's inaugural AI Governance Summit. At Google, he led inclusive AI programmes reaching over one billion people. He helps leaders use strategic foresight and scenario planning to anticipate emerging AI risks, identify governance gaps and strengthen institutional readiness, supporting safe and inclusive AI adoption across Asia. His research at AI Safety Asia examines how AI is reshaping work and economies across the region, and he contributes to international work on frontier AI risk, including the 2026 Singapore Consensus on Global AI Safety Research Priorities and the International AI Safety Report 2026. He was also selected as a Young Leader in the Youth for Peace: UNESCO Leadership Programme.
