Rostan is passionate about improving daily life and economies in emerging markets by backing entrepreneurs and technology innovation.

Over a 27-year career spanning strategy consulting, investment banking, and debt and equity investing, he has led or advised on more than $2bn of transactions across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and South-East Asia.

Rostan is the South-East Asia Lead for Fintech investments at International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. He has invested in or managed a dozen fintechs in merchant acquiring, remittances, digital lending, and insurtech, and sits on the boards of several whose valuations have grown up to 10x since entry.

He holds MBAs from Wharton and EM Lyon and an MA from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He speaks five languages and is based in Bangkok.
