Tang Wei

Tang Wei is the Head of Public Policy for Southeast Asia and Greater China at Stripe, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Singapore FinTech Association. At the Monetary Authority of Singapore he helped develop PayNow, Singapore's real-time payments infrastructure, before moving into the private sector: business development at Grab Financial Group, public policy at Meta (including work on the Libra stablecoin project), and financial compliance leadership at Alibaba International Digital Commerce. His experience spans payments, stablecoins, and agentic commerce. Tang Wei left doctoral research in quantum computing for a career in payments and fintech, with a foundation in physics, philosophy, and linguistics.
