Lara Douglas

Lara has been Director of Implementation at the Financial Stability Board since December 2025, following two years as a member of the Secretariat. In this role, Lara oversees the implementation monitoring projects of the FSB as well as the FSB’s work to coordinate the G20 Cross-border Payments Roadmap.

Prior to joining the FSB, Lara was a General Manager in the Banking division at the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority, supervising a third of Australia’s banking system. She worked in the private sector for over 15 years in senior roles in large banks in the UK and Australia.

Lara has an MBA from Edinburgh University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Earlier in her career she was a qualified Accountant.
