Liquid Group Pte Ltd
Jeremy Tan is the Founder and CEO of Liquid Group, a Singapore-headquartered Major Payment Institution operating the interoperability layer for global payments. Through Roam, its Network of Networks, Liquid Group connects domestic payment systems and payment providers across markets, enabling seamless cross-border payment connectivity, clearing and settlement.
Jeremy serves on Singapore’s Payments Council at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Co-Chairs the Payment Sub-Committee of the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA), and is a Board Member of the Singapore Payments Network (SPaN). He is also Singapore’s Representative to the East Asia Business Council (EABC), where Singapore co-chairs the Working Group on Digital Economy alongside Japan, and serves on the Malaysia-Singapore Business Council (MSBC).
His work focuses on the evolution of global payment infrastructure, including the interoperability of domestic real-time payment networks and the emerging role of new technologies and forms of money in how payments are initiated, cleared and settled.

About this session
As payment networks become increasingly connected, attention is shifting from interoperability in principle to interoperability at scale.
This concluding design thinking workshop will explore how commercial models and switch-to-switch connectivity can unlock seamless cross-border merchant payments, bringing together public and private sector stakeholders to co-create the next generation of interoperable payment infrastructure.
The session synthesizes all three workshops into an executable blueprint, delivering the capstone contribution to the policy Insights Report to be published by GFTN.
