Ramana Kumar serves as the President of Stablecoin Ecosystem at the ADI Foundation, bringing over two decades of leadership in banking, payments, and fintech across the UAE and the Middle East. Previously with Magnati, First Abu Dhabi Bank and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Ramana has spent his career overseeing digital banking, payments, and global transaction banking initiatives. Passionate about the future of digital finance, he focuses on scaling modern payment platforms and fostering collaboration between financial institutions to build the trusted infrastructure necessary for a seamless, cashless digital economy.
Ramana is a banking, fintech and payments executive with 20+ years of experience driving transformation across banking, digital payments, and financial infrastructure in the UAE and Middle East. His work has been focused on building and scaling platforms that modernize payment ecosystems, strengthen financial institutions, and unlock new opportunities in the digital economy. He is vice chair of the Middle East Stablecoin Association (MESA).

About this session
When an AI agent makes a payment across borders, who sets the rules and who is accountable if something goes wrong?
This session introduces the Agentic Payments Trust Principles, developed through the FCA Supercharged Sandbox as well as perspectives across the payment value chain will explore what it takes to trust AI agents with our payments – and how the trust principles can work in practice.
A panel discussion with GFIN AI Compass members and other regulators will examine how the trust principles connect with emerging approaches to agentic payments around the world, and what cooperation is needed to make this work with confidence.
Attendees will gain insights into the trust principles in-progress, how they have been applied , and the cooperation needed to govern AI agents in cross-border transactions.
