Naveen Mallela

Naveen Mallela is Global Head of Payments at Standard Chartered, leading the bank’s integrated payments organisation globally.

With more than 25 years of experience in transaction banking and payments innovation, he has a strong track record in modernising payment infrastructure and scaling next-generation solutions.

In his role, Naveen oversees the end-to-end payments business and leads solutions across the full payments lifecycle, spanning traditional payment rails as well as emerging tokenised and on-chain payment flows.

Naveen plays a central role in advancing Standard Chartered’s ambition to build a scalable, product-led payments franchise that supports clients across increasingly integrated global and digital payment ecosystems.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Naveen was at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he served as Global Co-Head of Kinexys, formerly Onyx, focused on real-time, 24/7 cross-border payments and digital asset settlement.
