Serene Gay

Serene Gay is Senior Vice President and Head of Value-Added Services for Visa in Asia Pacific, overseeing a portfolio of risk, data, acceptance and issuing solutions designed to accelerate client growth and business performance. She is a member of Visa’s Asia Pacific Leadership Team and serves as Executive Sponsor for Visa’s Women Network.

Previously, Serene was Group Country Manager for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei, and she also oversaw Global Clients and Acquirers across Asia Pacific. She led the business through a period of significant transformation in the payments landscape, driving growth, strengthening client engagement, and advancing innovation.

Serene joined Visa in 2022 with more than 20 years of payments experience. Prior to Visa, she was in senior leadership roles at Citi across Singapore, Thailand and China, spanning retail and payments, where she focused on shaping digital transformation efforts that connect customer experience, data, and next-generation payments. Earlier in her career, she held roles at GE Money in China and at Mastercard Advisors.
