The convergence of sustainability and financial technology is pivotal for Europe’s future. The European Green Deal, with its focus on environmental goals, intersects with digital sustainable finance. This synergy presents immense opportunities for innovative solutions, especially in the FinTech sector. Notably, Lithuania, a European high value-added FinTech hub, plays a leadership role in driving this transformation. Its 2023-2028 FinTech Strategy emphasizes qualitative growth, risk management, and global recognition, positioning Lithuania as a leader of European FinTech. Also, in its ambitious Green Finance Action Plan for 2023-2026, which focuses on developing competences related to green finance, with initiatives such as the Green Finance Institute, and promoting sustainable finance to private and public sector, Lithuania aspires to become a regional leader of sustainable finance.
