Anthony Thomas is the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer of the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), an initiative of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). GFTN aims to build more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial systems through global collaboration. It convenes a global network of forums, provides advisory services across policy and innovation, market development, and capacity building, and is establishing a growth venture fund focused on inclusion and sustainability.

Anthony brings over 27 years of global experience across banking and FinTech. He was previously Global Managing Director for FinTech at Berlin-based Delivery Hero, where he led Payments and Embedded Financial Services across the group’s food delivery brands operating in approximately seventy countries. He has also spent more than a decade working with mobile wallets in Southeast Asia and currently serves as Chairman of MoMo, Vietnam’s financial services super-app. Prior to this, he was CEO of GCash in the Philippines, part of Ant Group’s network of wallets. He began his career at Citibank, where he spent 17 years across seven markets in Asia, the United States, and Latin America.

Anthony holds a Master’s in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Mathematics from St Stephen’s College, Delhi.
