Quantum technologies can be broadly divided into three main sectors: quantum sensing, quantum communication, and quantum computing. While all three have potential applications in financial services, the most explored area so far has been quantum computing. Investigations have delved less, by contrast, into the applications in the financial services industry of quantum sensing and quantum communication.
The report analyses quantum computing and its implications for the financial services sector in-depth. It covers three key areas:
